Who We Are

Geotech Laboratory is a geotechnical testing laboratory based out of Wilsonville, Oregon. We are dedicated, experienced geotechnical professionals who provide efficient service and high-quality assurance. You can depend on us for accurate and reliable results.

Our laboratory accreditations and certifications include:

  • AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratories (AMRL)
  • City of Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety (LA-DBS)
  • Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)

All of our equipment is certified and calibrated on a regular schedule in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. Our accurate and reliable results are based on strict adherence to guidance provided by ASTM, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and our laboratory quality assurance manual, including the equipment specification requirements for calibration. We are an approved testing laboratory and we participate in the AMRL round-robin proficiency tests for soils and aggregates.

Electro-Mechanical Dynamic Cyclic Simple Shear

Our lab features the GDS Electro-Mechanical Dynamic Cyclic Simple Shear Device (EMDCSS). It is capable of carrying out dynamic cyclic tests from small strain (0.005% shear strain amplitude) to large strain (10% shear strain amplitude), as well as extremely accurate quasi-static testing. This is the choice for a no-compromise simple shear machine with the greatest range of testing capability.
